More on the Shootout
So, finally getting back to this now that I feel sort of caught up after vacation (okay, not really). Anyway, just a few more comments about the pMachine Shootout.
What's really cool about this win is that it's not just about how well we did the design, it's also about how well we built the site for the software. And since the software is so often at the center of sites we design and develop for our clients to me, that is far more meaningful than just a nod from our design peers. It's a very unique honor.
Did I mention that we love Expression Engine? I've been developing with pMachine's products for over three years now and the company continues to improve their software offerings. Right about the same time we think up a feature we'd like to see, it gets added. It's as if they are reading our minds. I would believe this, except for the fact that Aaron and I have a very short list of features we'd like to see that have yet to be added and don't look like they're on the horizon (well, one of them is).
We'll forgive them for that provided they continue to keep up the great work and make the Shootout a yearly event. We have a bunch of great EE sites in the works and I wouldn't be surprised to see us up there again next year.
